Farmer Alessandra
Who knows why in some cases in life the saying “to really appreciate what you have you have to lose it” or maybe go very close to the loss.
This is more or less what happened to Alessandra, who left Sicily to build a future in Rome.
Everything went swimmingly and her career took off, but for every take-off there is always a landing, in this case Rome was not the place where Alessandra wanted to land.
So, after quite a few trips around the world, Alessandra and Sicily choose each other again and go back to the origins of the earth.
Between Catania and Taormina she builds a magical paradise, where she begins the cultivation of mangoes, avocados and citrus fruits.
Some mango trees are 40 years old and Alessandra (re)gives them life through a process of redevelopment and conversion to organic.
When we hear her story, we feel that unmistakable passion that comes from a deep and real love for the land.
A passion that has different nuances, from fatigue to anger.
The effort that a farmer makes every day to juggle and assert his harvest (even more if a woman).
The anger that comes out when countless times Alessandra has been the victim of thefts, yes really thefts, because like Avocados, Mangoes are also subject to continuous looting by thieves.
But it is passion that helps us get up from fatigue and frees us from anger, its best result is the fruits that the earth offers and that we offer to you together with Alessandra.
